Raban-Merquly Parthian Fortress

A team from the University of Heidelberg led by Michael Brown and his colleagues from Iraqi Kurdistan’s Sulaymaniyah Directorate of Antiquities and Slemani Museum discovered a Parthian bas-relief at the entrance of the site of a fortress in Iraqi- Kurdistan. According to the excavators, the fortress is attributed to the founder of the Adiabene royal dynasty.
